ATLAS Talk Series Organizer
Scott Cocker Hi, I’m Scott, and I am a second year PhD student working with Dr Duane Froese. My research is focused on applying ancient DNA to understand the ecological history of the mammoth steppe in east Beringia (Yukon Territory and Alaska) prior to it's collapse ~13,000 years ago. I am particularly fond of arctic ground squirrels and their middens that have been preserved in the permafrost for up to 8000,000 years. This is my second year on the ATLAS committee as co-organizer of the ATLAS Talk Series. scocker@ualberta.ca |
