Outreach opportunities

ATLAS both advertises and contributes to outreach opportunities within the local community. This includes presentations at local schools on geological topics, participation in university-wide volunteering initiatives (e.g. WISEST) and providing experienced guides for tour groups visiting the museum collections held here in the department.

If you would like to advertise an outreach event please contact us: atlaseas@ualberta.ca

Networking events

Throughout the year ATLAS organizes numerous networking events both on and off campus. These create an environment for informal discussion, and foster professional relationships both inside and outside the department.

From September 2014, ATLAS will assume responsibility for the department wide welcoming event held at the start of the academic year for new and returning graduate students and faculty members.
