The 2010 ATLAS field trip, co-led by Hilary Corlett and Neil Fernandes, went north of 60 to visit the former Pine Point mine and the Alexandra Reef Complex in the Northwest Territories. Pine Point is one of Canada's largest Mississippi Valley Type (MVT) deposits and from 1964-1988 Pine Point was a booming mining town.

Based out of the Twin Falls Territorial Campground near Enterprise, NWT, the first day of the trip was spent at the Pine Point mine site and days two and three were spent looking at the Escarpment Formation and Alexandra Formation. Highlights included stops at the world famous Alexandra Falls and Louise Falls.
